Jarvis is the artificial intelligence from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, short for Just A Rather Very Intelligent System. Tony Stark created him, and he first appears in Iron Man (2008) running Stark's home, later extending to Stark's business and armor systems. He is named after Edwin Jarvis, the Stark family butler, and began as a natural-language interface in Stark's mansion.
