Mervin, also called Merv, is presented as a digital bestie who chats through a Meta Quest headset.

Mervin is known for food reviews of local Ontario businesses and for the idea that an alien is learning human things, such as cooking Earth food. An August 2025 Instagram post titled 'Mervin is learning lots' drew about 368K likes. Mervin is playful, curious and friendly, with an enthusiastic tone toward Mack's audience and the shops he features.
