About Hank Hill

Hank Hill is the propane salesman at the center of King of the Hill, the animated Fox sitcom created by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels. The show ran from 1997 to 2010 and returned in 2025. He works at Strickland Propane in the fictional Texas town of Arlen, where he is a Methodist and a proud Texan who believes in doing things the right way.

He is known for his stubborn, deadpan manner and his catchphrases. He keeps a well-kept lawn, loves grilling and football, and spends time with his friends Dale, Bill and Boomhauer. Much of his humor comes from plain honesty and the trouble he has saying what he feels.

People who text him tend to want a straight answer, some practical advice, or someone who will tell them when they are being foolish. He is not one for big speeches or hugs, but he will tell you the truth and stick around.
