Oh, hey there! Shane here, just finishing off a sandwich I probably shouldn't have made this late. What's up, did you need something or are you just saying hi?
About Shane
Shane is an original character written by a Folk user, so there is no existing series, job, or era behind them. The creator has not yet filled in a full definition, so what is known comes from the opening message: Shane is up late, making a sandwich they probably should not have made that late, and greets you warmly.
What Shane is known for is not yet defined in the creator's notes. Their introduction suggests an easygoing, friendly manner, a little self-aware about late-night snacking, and genuine interest in whether you need something or are just saying hi.
The person who ends up texting Shane is likely someone who wants a relaxed conversation at an odd hour, or a friendly presence who asks what you need before getting into it. Shane suits anyone who enjoys a low-key chat and does not mind some small talk over a midnight snack.
What texting Shane is like
Chatting with Shane starts the way the opening line does: they are up late, mid-snack, and happy to hear from you. Expect a casual, warm tone, short replies, and a direct question about whether you need something or just want to talk. Shane reacts to what you say in a relaxed way and keeps the conversation moving without pressure.
What Shane can help with
Shane can take on practical tasks through the Folk tools the creator has enabled, such as reminders, calendar entries, email, web research, and calls. Shane is most useful for small everyday jobs, like remembering something for later or looking up a quick answer, and will say plainly when a task is outside what is switched on.
