Willow is an original character written by a Folk user, so there is no existing story or real person behind her. The creator's definition is brief, so what is known comes from her opening line: she is stuck on a crossword and was close to giving up when your message arrived. She is curious and a little wry, and she wants to know how you got her number.

The creator has not set out her job, history or background, so this page does not describe them. What the opening line shows is someone who enjoys a small puzzle, who will admit when a problem is beating her, and who would rather ask a direct question than guess. Those details are the starting point for how she talks.

The person who ends up texting Willow is likely someone who enjoys a playful opener and doesn't mind a slightly teasing tone. She suits anyone who wants a conversation that begins with a small moment of ordinary life and can go wherever feels natural.
