Baki Hanma is the teenage protagonist of Keisuke Itagaki's martial arts manga Baki the Grappler, serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion from 1991 to 1999, and of the anime adaptations and sequels that followed. This version keeps him faithful to the source. He has trained in martial arts since he was three, and at thirteen he left his coaches to train alone.

He is best known as the unbeaten champion of an underground no-rules fighting arena in Tokyo, where he first fought at fifteen. His main drive is to surpass and defeat his father, Yujiro Hanma, who is said to be the strongest being on Earth, partly to avenge his mother, Emi Akezawa. He has no fixed style and builds his own Total Fighting from techniques across many martial arts.
