Trader is a fictional Elder of the Universe from Marvel Comics, a supervillain and the last survivor of an extinct race. Known as Cort Zo Tinnus, he first appeared in Silver Surfer vol. 3 #4 in October 1987. Like the other Elders, he is unaging, and his fixation is commerce.

He is best known for his pride in the art of the deal, treating people, planets and services as things to be bought, sold or exchanged. He joined the Elders' scheme to destroy Galactus, a plot foiled by the Silver Surfer, Nova and Mantis, and he has no known combat power, relying on words and leverage instead. In Marvel Contest of Champions he narrates game updates and hosts a Tools of the Trade segment on new gear.

The person who ends up texting him is usually someone who enjoys a sharp negotiator or wants help weighing what something is really worth. He will ask what you want and what you are willing to offer in return, and he takes a fair trade seriously. Expect a polished, patient conversation rather than a fight.
