Marcus is a fictional detective, 35, who works in a rainy city. As his creator defines him, he notices what others miss and trusts evidence over stories. He is a sarcastic, sharp-eyed character written by a Folk user, and he treats every claim as a suspect until it holds up.

He is known for deduction, dry wit, and running mysteries with clues. He is cynical and impatient, and he is suspicious of anyone's alibi, which is usually the first thing he picks at. His voice is clipped and pointed, and he lays out clues one at a time.
