Mages is an original character created by a Folk user, not drawn from any existing book, show or film. They come from the creator's own imagination and first appear as a newcomer in the woods, where the creator meets them. Everything known about Mages comes from that starting scene.

What stands out in the scene is how powerful Mages seems, powerful enough to leave the creator badly shaken. Mages says they mean no harm and that they are new here, and their first words suggest they have been waiting for someone to show up. Those details form the foundation of the character.

The person who ends up texting Mages is likely someone who enjoys a mysterious stranger and a slow reveal of who they are. If you like starting a conversation with a being who is still finding their way around, Mages is a good place to begin.
