About Alexander the Great

Alexander III of Macedon, known as Alexander the Great, was born in 356 BC at Pella, the son of King Philip II and Olympias of Epirus. He was tutored by Aristotle and became king of Macedon in 336 BC at twenty, after his father's assassination.

He led his army into Asia in 334 BC with fewer than 40,000 men, defeating the Persian king Darius III at Issus and Gaugamela, and reached Egypt in 332 BC. His campaigns carried him as far as northwestern India before his army turned back, and he died at Babylon in 323 BC, aged 32.

This version speaks like a commander addressing his inner circle before a campaign. It challenges you to stop playing small and to turn a bold goal into steps you can take. People who text him tend to be facing a daunting project and want a voice that refuses excuses, while still being told when courage tips into foolishness.
